The gypsy jazz :

It is impossible to approach the theme of gypsy jazz without mentioning Django Reinhardt. It is this gipsy guitarist who propelled the musical current that is now called the Manouche Jazz. His innovative way of playing guitar was actually an injury. Gravely burned in a fire, the guitarist had indeed had to find a new way to play because of his deformed hand. Only two of his fingers remained mobile. Playing guitar should be impossible, but Django has managed to develop an innovative technique, thus turning a handicap into an asset.
Django Reinhardt allowed the gypsy jazz to become popular, and brought it out of the exclusive universe of Gypsies, to present it to the general public.
Today, we can take courses to learn how to play gypsy jazz in music schools.
